Your page.
Your words.
elle is a local Markdown reading and writing app for Mac, made by Robert Karapetyan.
Last updated October 19, 2026 · Applies to elle 1.0
Your writing stays on your Mac.
elle stores your page in its own application storage and saves changes as you work. The app does not upload your writing to the developer and does not operate an online account or cloud service.
When you choose Copy Markdown, elle places your writing on the system clipboard. You decide where to paste or share it.
No tracking in the app.
elle 1.0 does not include advertising, analytics, third-party network services or in-app purchases. The app does not collect or transmit personal data to the developer.
elle stores local preferences needed for its behavior. It reads metadata about its own files to save safely and uses elapsed-time measurements for rendering. Your operating system may provide backups or optional diagnostic services under its own settings and policies.
You control the page.
You can select and delete text in Write mode. Changes save automatically. Copy any text you want to keep before replacing or deleting it.
This website and support.
This website does not use advertising or analytics scripts. Its hosting provider processes requests needed to deliver the pages, which may include IP addresses and technical request information. When you email support, your email address and the information you choose to send are used to respond to your request. Please avoid sending private writing unless it is necessary for your question.
